The Speakers:

This year's retreat speaker is Greg Koukl, founder of Stand To Reason. Greg started out thinking he was too smart to become a Christian and ended up giving his life for the defense of the Christian faith. He believes that Christianity can compete in the marketplace of ideas when it's properly understood and articulated.
Greg's teaching has been featured on Focus on the Family radio, he’s been interviewed for CBN and the BBC, and did a one-hour national television debate with Deepak Chopra on Lee Strobel's “Faith Under Fire.” Greg received his Masters in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at Talbot School of Theology, and his Masters in Christian Apologetics from Simon Greenleaf University. He is an author, speaker, and adjunct professor in Christian apologetics at Biola University. See the clip below in which Greg answers the question, "How did you become a Christian?"

We'll also be joined by guest speaker, James Hodgins. James is a 9 year veteran of the NFL where he was a Super Bowl champion as a member of the “Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams. He was coached by Mike Martz, one of the most creative and innovative offensive minds the NFL has seen. As a player, Hodgins was the lead blocker for several hall of fame running backs such as Marshall Faulk, Curtis Martin, Edgrine James, and Emmitt Smith. A multi-faceted coach, consultant, and public speaker Hodgins has worked with the Fellowship Of Christian Athletes, San Jose State University, and the Denver Broncos. Hodgins brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable life experiences as a Christian husband, father, and youth pastor. Hodgins uses his former NFL position as a platform to share the Gospel, motivate others, and create interest for new believers.
