David has served as Executive Minister for Converge PacWest since 2009. David is a graduate of Biola University and earned his Master of Biblical Studies degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.
David's 30-years of ministry experience includes pastoral roles in churches of varying sizes and settings. He is passionate about reconciling all people to God and one another through the cross of Jesus Christ.
He is the devoted husband of Sandy. They have four children, three of which are married. They live in Brentwood, CA, and serve our region and movement with joy.
Paul Root, Associate Minister of Church Planting

Paul has served as our church planting director since August of 2005. His passion is to help our network of churches reproduce new congregations. He works with churches and planters to plant healthy reproducing congregations that transform lives and communities.
He has been in full time ministry since 1979. Paul's life and ministry have been shaped by a variety of ministry experiences. He has worked in pastoral training in Northwest Mexico. He led a dying church through a revitalization process in Southern California. He planted a new congregation in Burlingame, CA.
He is passionate about speaking Spanish, riding bicycles and motorcycles, the Oakland Raiders, gardening, and home repair. He has been married to Theresa since 1980, and they have 3 adult children.

office operations for Converge PacWest, including communication and financial systems.
Amy Field, Event Coordinator – Email: Amy@convergepacwest.com – Amy oversees all regular and special events sponsored by Converge PacWest including our short-term mission efforts in Haiti.
Sandy Yetter, Assistant to the Executive Minister – Email: Sandy@convergepacwest.com – Sandy serves as receptionist, data base coordinator, assistant in church communications, and provides administrative support for our Executive Minister.
Lillie Gonzalez, Church Planting Assistant – Email: Lillie@convergepacwest.com – Lillie provides administrative support for our Church Planting Director. She provides administrative support for the church planting assessment process, for First Steps training events, and for other church planting events.
